Tolga Yücel is a Geomatics Engineer with over 9 years of cross-disciplinary experience in GIS, BIM, and digital construction. His career bridges technical implementation and strategic leadership, delivering scalable geospatial and digital solutions across real estate, infrastructure, and public-sector projects. He started his professional journey as a BIM Specialist at Istanbul Airport, contributing to one of the world’s most complex relocation operations through advanced 3D coordination. Later, as Geospatial Solutions Manager at a real estate technology startup, he led the development of web-based GIS platforms, 3D visualization tools, and automation pipelines for the real estate sector. Tolga continued to broaden his impact by joining the indoor mapping company Pointr, where he streamlined mapping pipelines and aligned geospatial intelligence with smart building technologies. Currently, he serves as the General Coordinator of BIM4TURKEY, the country’s leading civil initiative in digital construction. In this role, he oversees nationwide training programs, international collaborations, and strategic partnerships, fostering BIM awareness and workforce development across Turkey. Tolga holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Geomatics Engineering from Istanbul Technical University. He is also the author of a digital marketing handbook and has led various innovation projects. Known for integrating AI tools into planning and communication workflows, he continues to push the boundaries of digital transformation in the built environment.
